Noida: The students of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management (BTCM) and Bachelor of Technology Civil (Water Resources Engineering) (BTWRE) have a unique chance to complete their programmes after them being put on hold since January 2011. The Academic Council’s standing committee of the University has approved to allow the students of BTCM and BTWRE for a one-time special re-admission period (2013-14) of two years after the expiry of maximum duration and normal re-admission period. BTCM and BTWRE programmes have minimum duration of four years whereas the maximum duration allowed with valid registration is up to 10 years. However, due to the programmes being put on hold since January 2011, the students after completing maximum programme duration and taking normal re-admission period had no option to take fresh admission to complete their balance courses. The University now invites those students who took admission in the programme in or before the year 2002 and paid full programme fee of four years. The scheme is not open for 2003 batch students as for them, the special re-admission period coincides with their normal re-admission period, i.e. 2013-14. The scheme is applicable to only those students who have balance courses worth not more than 64 credits and 63 credits for BTCM and BTWRE respectively. Under the scheme, the students will be allowed to appear in four Term End Examinations (TEE), namely TEE June 2013, TEE December 2013, TEE June 2014 and TEE December 2014 to complete their balance courses. For these TEEs, students have to submit exam form along with prevailing exam fee every time. This one-time special re-admission application form is available on the University’s website www.ignou.ac.in and is to be submitted along with the requisite fee to the Registrar (Student Registration Division), Block 3, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110 068 on or before 10th January, 2013.
